I don’t know about you, but when I’m in Manila, I don’t really like to put a ton of makeup on due to the humid weather. I always go for the model-off-duty-slash-I-woke-up-like-this look for day to day. My go-tos have always been a trusty eyelash curler and a waterproof mascara, especially for days when I want to look good but could not be bothered with long hours of primping. That’s why when I heard about the launch of Happy Skin’s Eye Woke Up Like This Collection, I had to try it for myself. The collection consists of six (6) can’t-help-but-fall-in-love-with products, but being a curlash-mascara kind of gal, I gravitated towards Happy Skin At Long Lash Supercurl Waterproof Mascara. (P999) and Happy Skin Maximeyes Perfect Lash Curler (P499).
The Happy Skin Maximeyes Perfect Lash Curler is a rose gold-colored eyelash curler that comes with three (3) mint-hued rubber pads. It is so aesthetically pleasing and totally comparable to the Shu Uemura lash curler, a cult fave. What I love about it is that it reached the most lateral part of my lashes WITHOUT any pinch! It perfectly curled my lashes, which are basically so straight. Longer lashes illusion FTW!
Then, I tried the At Long Lash Supercurl Waterproof Mascara which features the first bristle-free mascara wand in the Philippines. It is very reminiscent of the Hourglass Curator Lash Mascara for a fraction of the price, which is a steal for mascara lovers like myself. The wand being bristle-free made the application of the product to the lashes, a breeze. The revolutionary rod easily coats every lash from root to tip without clumping which means no scary spidery-looking lashes here! This product is also perfect for ladies with smaller eyes that tend to get mascara goop on their lids due to the hard-to-maneuver, big mascara wands.
Lastly, this wouldn’t be a Happy Skin product without their good-for-you additives. Hydrolyzed silk is added to moisturize and condition lash strands while preventing lash loss plus nourishes and strengthens lashes with swertia japonica extract. Dual-purpose makeup product, I see you! And just when you thought that it can’t get any better, they made the mascara formulation waterproof, smudge-proof, sweat-proof, and resistant to sebum and tears. How great is that?!

TIP: For “OMG, are those your real lashes?” comments, use the lash curler first before applying mascara and make them wonder if you really woke up like that! 😉
