If you think a makeup primer is something you can do away in your daily beauty routine, think again. A primer preps the skin for face makeup, allowing it go on smoothly and last the whole day.

One of the more prominent primers in the market is Max Factor’s Smooth Miracle Primer. I road-tested it and here’s my review.

PRODUCT INFO: Max Factor Smooth Miracle Primer is the perfect base for an even foundation application. Instantly primes and smooths the appearance of skin.

I applied the primer all over my bare and dry face, then blended it out with my fingers. The texture of the product is thick and creamy so I suggest just putting 4-5 drops on different parts of the face and spread it using your fingers or a brush.

Upon applying on my face, it blended and totally disappeared on my skin. It didn’t feel heavy at all. The primer created a smooth layer so applying the foundation was even. The liquid foundation on top of the primer gave a dewy effect on my skin, like I was wearing BB cream.

It was also able to disguise pores and fine lines. For the Bellas out there who are worried about breaking out, relax because this is suitable for sensitive skin.

I had a whole day shoot the day I tried out the Smooth Miracle Primer, and after 8 hours, the makeup stayed. No creases, no caking, just matte skin.

I’ve been a fan of Max Factor’s other primer, the Facefinity Primer. So right now, I’m really torn between Facefinity and Smooth Miracle. Well, I guess I’d have to alternate between the two for now.
