Editor’s Pick: INGLOT Freedom System Palette

Fit all your makeup faves into one handy palette!

You’ve gotta give for what you take. Freedom. Freedom. Freedom. You’ve gotta give for what you take.” RIP, George Michael. #SorryNotSorry that my review of INGLOT’s Freedom System palette is a quasi-tribute to the late great George Michael. Just like a makeup palette, George was a visionary. He revolutionized pop music as a gay icon in the 80s, just like how makeup palettes today are game-changers in the cosmetics industry.

Google or YouTube the term ‘palette’ and you’ll see hundreds of reviews, features, and benefits of this nifty beauty tool. Curiosity got the better of me when I splurged on INGLOT’s Freedom System Palette Blushes (4), or the Quad Palette, which made a slight dent in my wallet at P1,325.

I customized my magnetic quad set with the following mix-and-match products from INGLOT’s SM Megamall branch:

  1. Freedom System Face Blush in 27
For P695, the Face Blush in No. 27 is a classic, easy-to-apply pink-ish powder blush that gives a healthy-looking glow. I use Real Techniques’ Blush Brush for proper application, which I recently bought at BDJBox.com/shop 😉
  2. Freedom System HD Sculpting Powder in 509
With its P695 price tag, the HD Sculpting Powder is just another fancy term for either bronzer or highlighter. No. 509 is the bronzer of this quad bunch, and I use an angled brush by Zoeva.
  3. Freedom System HD Sculpting Powder in 501
This high-definition highlighter completes my everyday lit-from-within look. 💯
  4. Freedom System HD Highlighter Trio in 103
Available in four color combinations, for P995, this trio of highlighting powder shades can be used individually or all in one go. It’s a bonus shimmering highlighter!

A palette that’s lightweight, nice to look at, and easy to use

This four-powder makeup palette has been such a joy to use! It fits in the palm of my hand (sort of), and it’s pretty to look at. I’m just not a big fan of its cover. Whenever I push or slide the magnetic cover off, especially when I’m in a hurry, my thumb makes small nicks on the powder blush, highlighter, and bronzer.

Spot the difference: Contoured and sculpted half of my face with INGLOT’s quad palette

On a more positive note, I’ve learned how to blend like I’ve never blended before, thanks to my INGLOT Freedom System palette. It’s one of the best kits so far with buildable and complementary shades that are very forgiving toward my contouring and highlighting skill level. 😬
