Because kilay is life—meet your ultimate brow bestie ever!
The girls at BDJBOX HQ know all too well that I can’t shut up about the ahmazing Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade! BTdubs, it’s pronounced as “ah-nas-sta-cia”! 😛
My beauty arsenal is fully composed of long-wear products. I just cannot be bothered for a midday re-touch sesh—such busy bee or maybe I’m just lazy AF! You’ve read about my ultimate base essentials and now let me introduce you to my holy grail brow product.
Say hello to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade. It’s an award-winning waterproof, multitasking, and buildable matte pomade that stays put. It’s long-lasting, smudge-proof and acts as an all-in-one brow product.
I use the shade Ebony—a cool-toned brown-black that matches my color treated jet black hair perfectly! My skin tone is medium neutral with an NC35 MAC shade equivalent—leaning a bit more towards cool than warm. I’ve always had a hard time finding a brow product sold locally that’s not too warm. Thank the beauty gods for Anastasia Soare, the queen of Hollywood’s perfect brows, for gifting the world with the ABH brand. The Dipbrow comes in 11 shades so you’ll definitely find a shade to match you.
I’ve never been much into brow powders and pencils. I find that those fade easily. I’ve also tried brow gels and the much touted matte gel liner hack—those worked fine except they do get a bit crunchy. Brow pens fair better, though a bit too faint for my liking. I really needed a top-notch product for a natural bold brow that’ll last all day.
The minute news broke out of the ABH Dipbrow launch in 2015, I instantly messaged everyone I know in LA to get me one at a Sephora. The 30-day wait for the shipment to arrive was well worth it. The product comes in a chic glass pot and a glossy twist-up lid. With 4g of product, you’ll have enough to get your brow game on point for a whole year. The pomade feels more like a cream when compared to a standard gel liner. It’s highly pigment so a little goes a long way. Now $18 might be too steep for some but trust me, it’s worth the investment.
For precise application, I use the ABH Duo Brush #12 with a sharp angled brush on one end and a spoolie on the other. I start off with a small amount of pomade on the edge of the angled brush. I have a naturally high arch so I prefer to straighten out the shape by softly lining and lowering my arch while extending the tail a bit. Next, I fill in the gaps, mostly on the outer part of my brows. Then, I feather in the inner corners and blend the entire brow with the spooley. Finally, some precision application on certain parts to make my brows more like sisters. That’s it! Just one product to do my entire brow routine. No need for a separate brow gel to set everything in place.

Brows are definitely a must with my everyday routine. I can skip everything else besides the brows. I always start off my day pretty early at 8am and ending a little before midnight. From breakie to dindin, from meetings to photoshoots, from work to social events. With Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade my arches look 100% all day!
